Can We Have A Little Realism In Rumors?

August 9th, 2012 11:40 am | by Ed |

I know that people seem to be having plenty of fun with the sport of coming up with new "Bob Rumors" and "Bob Sightings". Partly people do this to entertain themselves and partly they do it just to see how many people can be convinced to believe them.

The problem is that too many of them are just plain not believable at all. For example a recent rumor I saw was that Bob was seen in Times Square wearing a jansport external frame backpack and holding a sign proclaiming "The End Was Yesterday".

There are two problems with this rumor. 1, The end was not yesterday. There is, in fact, no end. 2, Bob is about three and a half inches tall. It is physically impossible for him to wear such a backpack because as far as I know they don't make any models in his size range.

Therefore nobody with two or more brain cells to rub together is going to believe that rumor.
