Well, It’s a little over 12 and a half hours since essentially starting over with a new freenet node well, almost. I did keep using the “painkiller” mod version with the custom settings I had in place before. No sense messing with what works. Besides, these are settings that I would recommend to anyone starting out with freenet.

Here’s a snapshot of the node’s state;

Data Store:
Maximum size 25 GiB
Used space 258,692 KiB
Free space 25,955,708 KiB
Percent used 0
Total keys 15186

# Histogram of node versions in fred’s Routing table
# Nov 21, 2007 12:01:07 AM
# nodes: 88
Fred,0.5,STABLE-1.51,5102 1
Fred,0.5,STABLE-1.51,5106 14
Fred,0.5,STABLE-1.51,5107 72
Fred,0.6,1.51,60277 1

Connections open (Inbound/Outbound/Limit) 47 (26/21/2000)
Transfers active (Transmitting/Receiving) 52 (43/9)
Data waiting to be transferred 3,996 Bytes
Total amount of data transferred 683 MiB

Not bad for a node that’s only been up just over half a day.
