These guys at Georgia Tech are working on an even faster version of Wi-Fi… They’re working on building 60ghz transceivers that will be able to move large amounts of data really fast.. It’s only supposed to have a short (roughly 30 foot or so) range, but the potential is there to move 15 gigabits per second. That’s fast enough to move High Def movies quickly.

ATLANTA (AP) - With a wave of his hand over a homemade receiver, Georgia Tech professor Joy Laskar shows how easily - and quickly - large data files could someday be transferred from a portable media player to a TV.
