That GPS gadget in your car or phone seem handy to you? I imagine it does. What about the times when you just can’t get any information from it? Well, it seems that some of the problems at least are due to intentional jamming rather than normal interference from assorted misc electronics.

The National Geospatial Intelligence Agency has a report of recent instances of intentional jamming that covers activites on both sides of the boarder. They’ve also got a seven page technical report detailing ways to detect and prevent jamming.
