Browser Wars Episode 3,0392,928,372

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water the folks at Opera are taking on Microsoft's IE again.

Part of it is the same old thing about M$ having IE built into the OS and getting the lions share of the market because most people don't have the know how or understanding that changing to a better browser would be a great idea.

The other part is a really valid point. They want M$ to fix their browser to make it compliant to commonly accepted web standards. In other words, there is no excuse for IE to be the only browser out there that so completely ignores web standards. If that browser would simply handle things according to specs, it wouldn't be necessary to do special coding tricks to make sure a site works the same in IE as it does in all of the compliant browsers like Firefox and Opera
