Hobbits Anyone?

March 19th, 2010 20:36 pm | by Ed |

According to a BBC News piece, New Zealand is once again going to become Middle Earth next July as filming is due to start on The Hobbit. Casting is underway in LA, London and NewYork and Sir Ian McKellen is set to reprise his role as Gandalf the Grey.

Not only will The Hobbit be made, but the director, Guillermo del Toro is taking a page from Peter Jackson's style and will be making a sequel at the same time. The sequel is a story that was NOT penned by J.R.R. Tolkien which is supposed to cover the sixty years between the end of The Hobbit and the Beginning of The Lord Of The Rings.

No idea yet as to when it'll eventually hit theaters but it ought to be worth the wait.
