Here’s something that I have to wonder why anyone bothered to do. It’s called “Project Fred“. The site itself describes it as:
an entirely pointless program which counts the number of keys you press and the number of times you click your mouse, and uploads these totals to the Project Fred website. You can then compare how much you’ve been banging the keyboard with other users.
Which is all fine and dandy with me but I still don’t get why somebody would bother spending the time and resources to create something like that and maintain it. I suppose it could be some kind of really elaborate, out of the box kind of entropy gathering engine, but I can’t help thinking that there’s easier ways to do that.
I’ve got plenty of competitive spirit but I still don’t see comparing the number of keystrokes and mouse clicks.
