Unhelpful Information Requests

July 15th, 2010 12:13 pm | by Ed |

Y'know what irks me something terrible? When somebody sends me an email in which they tell me that I need to provide more information about something that I have already provided information about.

The problem is that when they requested more information, they didn't bother to be so helpful as to specify WHAT additional information was needed. Just that they wanted more information.

Thing is, I've already given them all the information that there is about this particular thing. Without clear details as to what they want to know, I cannot provide more information because, as I see it, there is none.

And of course, because they just use automated emails & such and seldom if ever have humans review them, I could get stuck in an endless loop of requests.

That would be a serious pain.
